Lost Track of Time
Time has been going by so quickly that I have lost track of how many days have passed since I started my Clean Country Kitchen Challenge. I decided it was time to post a recap of the challenge. I hope you have been following along and keeping your kitchen clean as well.
Over the last handful of weeks, I have failed a few times to clean up the kitchen at the end of the day. Sometimes I have been too tired, others I just simply didn’t want to do it. I have to be honest with myself. I have noticed that leaving the kitchen untidy really does bother me now, though, which to me, is worth doing the challenge just for that! I have felt pushed to keep the kitchen tidy since starting this challenge, which has also made me feel good. Staying on top of dishes throughout the day has really helped me.
Challenging myself with this challenge has helped me greatly. I have enjoyed pushing myself to do better in an area of life that I was falling down on the job with. It made me realize that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. It also made me feel like I am being a better wife and mother by staying on top of the dishes better. I now feel the need to clean up the kitchen after supper. It makes it nice for my husband in the morning when he gets up to get ready for work. He doesn’t have to see a mess on the counter or deal with any dishes that are left-over from the night before. It also makes it nice for me to start with a clean slate the next morning. One of the biggest accomplishments from this challenge is that it helps me to be a better example for Joy. She needs to know that should be good stewards and put things away, so seeing this regularly will help her learn.
