Yes, is the simple answer to this question.  Although I am not making full-time income yet, I am making some steady money with my blog.  I am happy to say that November was again a pretty successful month for Polkadots & Plaid.  There are a lot of ways that you can make money by blogging.  In this post, I will share how and where I made my money for November.

Blog Income Report - Nov 2017

Slow Month

November was not as good as I hoped it would be from an income standpoint.  However, I have gotten some good posts up and gotten some good work done outside of that as well.  There is SO much to learn about professional blogging!  I feel like as soon as I start one thing, I come across another thing I want to do and start yet another thing.  I am working to gain my focus so that I can be more productive and more organized, but I will do a post about that later!

November Income Summary

Here is an overview of where I made my blogging income for November:

Affiliate Sales: $107.11

Social Media: $.01 (yes, a penny!)

Blog Design: $100.00

Sponsored Posts: $30.00

Virtual Assistant Services: $47.32

Total November Income: $284.44

Time & Work

Being a stay-at-home mom, I am always looking to find new ways to make some money from home.  I have tried many other things in the past, most of which I still enjoy doing as hobbies, but involve a lot of physical work for very little profit.  Blogging is a great way to share our life, get the word out regarding pregnancy and infant loss, and bring in some money at the same time.

If you have a blog and are struggling with the WordPress setup to get it the way you want it to look, I can help!  Check out my WordPress Basic Plus Blog Setup.  I will set up your blog and include PDFs that include instructions for you to be able to do the basics moving forward.  I can also help you with Pinterest graphics and Pinterest board covers as well as other tasks that you don’t have time to do with my Virtual Assistant Services.

Don’t Be Discouraged

If you have started a blog in the last year or so and can’t seem to make any money, please don’t be discouraged.  It takes a LOT of time and effort to be able to bring in an income from blogging.  Again, it takes a LOT of time and effort.  A LOT!  I have wholeheartedly adopted the “slow and steady wins the race”  motto with my blog.

Like I said earlier, I have so much that I have started and want to share through my blog, that I have started brainstorming about focusing on time management and organization (both things I am terrible at currently) so I can get more done and share how to get more done!  LOL!

Keep your head up.  You can make money from blogging if you truly have something to share that will touch others.  Keep plugging away, keep encouraging others, and stay strong.  Just remember, slow and steady wins the race!

Share Your Tips

I have shared how I have made my November income from my blog.  I would love to hear your tips and tricks for how and where you make your money from your blog.  Remember, if others can do it, so can you!  If I can go slow and steady to win the race, so can YOU!

If we all work together, we can do even more to share our great information with those who need it and make some money as well.  I’d love to hear from you or collaborate if we can work well together.  Please comment or email me at sara@dotsandplaid.com if you would like to reach out.

Blessings and best blogging to you!

Sara
